Airship rescue

A hastily-drawn comic I drew earlier this year - hopefully it's not too confusing, I didn't want to make a lot of transition panels, lol. . .

  1. I love it, Ashe! Like a conic strip for real men. LOL. We can't get awesome comics like this in comic book stores. Hehe. Thanks. That pirate arrived just time to find out he was expendable. The first to arrive always are.

    1. Thanks Dino! Hehe, I wouldn't mind being in the first wave, personally! Proud to take one for my comrades!!

    2. Haha. I pictured him as you......totally expendable, taking it like a real man, I've always longed for a complete comic like this, in which all the men end up shot or stabbed in their bellies (except maybe the hero/heroes of the piece), so this one appeals to me greatly. Pirate stories would naturally lend themselves well to such a comic, as they could feature all kind of weapons.....hand guns, knifes, daggers, arrows, swords, spears, muskets, harpoons, and pikes. Plus, they would be perfect for men who's bellies are exposed.

    3. Haha, thanks, man! I could totally see myself as the guy taking a shaft to the gut ;) Nice to have another guy wanting me to take it in the gut, haha! I really like drawing comics, but aggh, they take so much time and creative energy, coming up with all the poses and angles for every frame! And so much coloring, lol. . . I want to get to a point where most of what I'm drawing are comics, but one-off pieces are so much easier atm, haha

    4. I can only imagine how difficult it is to draw one frame, much less a whole series of them. Finding the time to do that must be a challenge in itself.

    5. It seriously is! I've been drawing so long though that if I really put my mind to it, I can bust out a full-colour pic in about an hour, if I'm not too tired. . .

    6. Which is why I admire your talent so much. I can draw stick men, but it's hard plugging stick men in their belly. LOL

  2. The guy slumping, arrowed in his "exposed bellybutton" ( in our world is there any other kind?lol) is a hoot. Expendable.. his big round a perfect target.

    1. Haha yep, nothin' to do but give up and take it good at that point! ;) He took it right in the gut-button, he knows he's done for!

    2. Hahaha. He knows it's the price he had to pay by being first to board the ship,.......with a big sexy belly like his screaming for something sharp to invade his guts.....a mini-ball, a knife, a sword, a spear or an arrow. He didn't stand a chance, but now he can die a real man's death.

  4. Love the way the captain uses his own big gut to shield his ship from the dreaded diode spear! Got it just right, too.....right in his big sexy belly. A hero!

    1. Haha, sometimes a guy's gotta be a hero, even if it means taking a spear to the gut!

    2. With a big handsome gut like his, he knew that sooner or later he was gonna get it.....shot, speared, stabbed or arrowed....might just as well go out a hero. I see him clutching his big gut as he falls. After all, time is of the essence. LOL

    3. Hell yeah, man! ;) I'd be holding the sides of my gut and groanin' all the way down. . .
