Although to be fair, there's nothing more romantic than being impaled by the same thing, while being used to heat food, really the only thing that could top that is if the Butcher forced one husband to kill the other.
I had the same thought about that pole running through their bellies! Feeling it get warmer and warmer as the Butcher turns the spit, slowly churning up their guts. A fantastic anniversary present for each other, thanks for giving it to them, BB!
And hey, I think I noticed a couple of fresh sausages sticking up from the ground if the Butcher isn't quite full yet :-p.

In a way they did kill each other as they had to push the skewer into each other's guts to keep it in place!
