Point Blank...
Hard to get the creative juices flowing lately, coming up with original stuff... but here's a big-bellied cowboy for you guys, primed and ready to die!
I just love it! Thanks, Ashe. His pardner done went and double crossed him big time.......always told him that if he didn't stop growin' that big belly he was gonna get a bellyful of lead in it....and he did.
How could he resist? All those nights camping out under the stars with his partner, seeing his gut grow bigger and bigger after every meal, watching his belly expand and fall as he sleeps, giving his partners naked gut a playful pat after he's finished washing up in the river... Then finally, he sees his buddy riding up on his horse, his big, round belly bouncing in the saddle with each stride of his steed, a trusting half-smile on his face, a tip of the hat to his long-time good buddy... and damn it, he just couldn't wait anymore! He pulls out his shotgun and stuffs it in his partners potbelly, and unloads point blank...
Hehehe. Yeah, his partner, Slim, had always been envious of the man's big gut, but at the same time he hated the way his big-gut partner seemed to flaunt it at him......all his ribs about being thin really pissing him off...."a big strong wind might just blow you away, Slim"...."You ever get it in that skinny belly of yors, you won't last anytime, Slim"....."I don't know why you bother eatin' at all, Slim, you don't have nothin' to show for it", he always says, as he pats and rubs Slim's flat gut. Slim has developed a love-hate relationship with his partner's big gut.....blows him right outa the saddle.......tells him, "you finally got yor bellyful this time, partner". Hehe.
Haha, love it! The idea of a big ball belly being something for a cowboy to be proud of... a rightly handsome sight, that big, heavy gut bulging out like a globe, neatly buttoned up in his dress shirt... poor Slim wouldn't stand a chance against a bullet with that flat belly of his! Sure, his big-bellied buddy has a huge target of a gut, and is more likely to get shot because of it... but if the big guy gets shot, the bullet will probably lodge deep in his thick-packed guts instead of blowing a hole out his back... it'll still kill him, but he'll have a few minutes to take down those baddies that shot him down! Slim, however... one bullet in that flat gut, and it's instant curtains for him! That bullet would blow a hole clean through him... no way a man is staying on his feet to fight after a mortal wound like that!
Unless Slim gets it with a small caliber slug (derringer), as opposed to a shotgun. However, I do know of a skinny, flat-bellied guy who was shot by his wife with a shotgun to his belly.....and lived. She fired through a screen door, which saved his life. He was in intensive care for a week after having surgery in his guts, but survived.
