A bunch of very old pics PART I
I found a bunch of my old drawings from ages ago... some are more recent, and some from years ago, but you can kind of see how my styles change over time. Thought I'd post them here for anyone who'd want to see them!
Among my favorites: The biker in the leather vest with the rapier through his middle (even though it isn't finished). The monster who stabs the big boy....hates fat boys most of all. Hehe. The three stabbed together by the same spear. Hot! The poor sap who triggers the trap, with his big bare belly too close and gets a bellyful of arrows. His partner takes it in stride....more treasure for him. In my world, the dying man would pull a gun and plug his partner in the bellybutton before he can claim all the treasure, leaving them both to die together. Hell, they had it coming to 'em, growing those big huge bellies like that. Hehehe.
Haha, thanks! I did like the idea behind the giant killing the big-bellied knight, though in retrospect I wish it'd been in his navel. The guy who triggered the trap was based on me, and a fantasy I'd had after watching an Indiana Jones movie, haha
Without a doubt, the men who created that trap set it up so that the one who set it off would be standing "belly" close to the trap door. I can see them working the angles and levels so that once a handsome guy like Ashe reaches over and picks up the treasure, his big belly would be "real" close to it.
So true, Dino... one second I'm pawing at the treasure, thinking about all the fun and debauchery I'll have with the money... and then I've got nothing more than a bellyfull of arrows and a quick ticket to the morgue!
I like that first set, too, Ashe. Those wide leather belts look so impressive. He thinks his lower belly is well protected, but leather can't hold back sharp-pointed steel. His opponent finds his navel, despite the belt. Reminds me of an old gladiator movie called The Avengers. At the end, the good guy runs his sword right through the bad kid's wide belt, right at his navel. Hot scene! Love those leather breast plates, too, with the carved out "navel" in the right place. Were they trying to tell the enemy where to aim their daggers, arrows, spears or swords? LOL.
Thanks! If I was sent off to war in gladiator times, It would be fun to have leather armor tailored to direct attention to my bellybutton... maybe even just a loosely-tied leather vest that won't fit around my potbelly and leaves my navel exposed! Either way, I wouldn't be surprised when my enemy's spear ends up in my bellybutton and running through my guts... and neither would my enemy! Straight or not, he'd probably have a boner just from watching me squirm and die on his spear.
Hehehe. Yeah, I always assume that the carved-out navel in the wide belt or leather breast plate is positioned right in front of the man's navel, so he sort of expects to get it there, sooner or later. And no doubt the killer would get off on seeing his spear or sword enter Ashe's belly at his navel.
